my new Gola arrived

On Wednesday i ordered a new bag for me and i am so glad to report that it has arrived today. It´s a classic Gola redford bag in black and white. Now, as for being a woman i look for another little pice of fashion and i would like to have one of the "Wearble Art" Messengers. They include a range of limited edition bags that are adorned with eye-catching graphic prints.
This bag collection features a selection of designs from three Scandinavian illustrators Maija Louekari, Rami Niemi and Janine Rewell. Each illustrator has brought their style to a Redford bag. I adore the renewed look of that stylish icon. And now comes a bit of history, so be prepared! At 1905 the Gola brand was launched, with focus on football shoes and heavy rugby boots in the 50´s. Here is a funny story: the Liverpool team got some frem boots from gola for the FA Cup final in the mid 60´s, but addidas approached them at Wembley and payed them for wearing addidas football -shoes. What did the clever british do? The painted addidas stripes on their gola boots and went on to win the cup! In the 90´s they get attention from Noel Gallager of "Oasis"  -  he ordered "Harrier" trainers and gave the brand some favour of rock glamour.
The new campaign for 2011 was developed in partnership with Sharp Agency  and enlisted some Huddersfield University Students to Co-Create ideas that would resonate with the brand.

The new campaign builds on previous campaigns and retains the ‘Classics With a Twist’ tag line, which reflects the brand’s ethos of producing heritage inspired styles with fashionable twists. The eye-catching execution reinforces Gola’s use of colour and features the ever popular footwear styles Harrier and Quota.
